Pecking toward perfection?

As mentioned yesterday afternoon, The Journal of Wordplay #13 is available now. I’ve made some minor post-production tweaks today to the Campbell-Francis-Montpetit jam.

These are extremely minor adjustments, so much so that some readers might not notice the difference. I’m hoping not to make “post-production tweaks” a Journal tradition—I’d rather get it all in one go—but I can’t say I’m not familiar with that part of the process. Those who’ve followed this Substack know that I’ve occasionally tweaked the puzzles due to audience feedback. And every so often, I’ll read an old post and think, “How did that typo get there?”…

It’s always a bit humbling to press the “Edit” button after that, but I’d rather fix an issue late than fix it not at all. I try not to beat myself up about it—

—too much.
