We drove around a lot to see some family and friends yesterday, a process made easier by Janice’s well-curated holiday playlist. Initially, I thought I’d share that playlist with you here (I sampled a song from it yesterday).
But last evening was also the start of Hanukkah, and there aren’t enough Hanukkah-specific playlists out there. Janice had a couple of these on hers, but I figured I’d do my part. Some of these are lighthearted, some more straightforward: a good playlist should offer up a range, right?
“Daveed Diggs” - Puppy for Hanukkah
“Eight Days of Hannukah)” - Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings
“Feast of Lights” - They Might Be Giants
“I Am A Latke” – Debbie Friedman
“Hanukkah In Santa Monica” — Tom Lehrer
“Hanukkah Blessings” — Barenaked Ladies
“Judah and the Maccabees” - Damon and Naomi
“Miracle” - Matisyahu
”Pass the Candle” — Michelle Citrin
“The Chanukah Song” – Adam Sandler
“The Dreidel Song” – Julie Silver
”Yehudah Maccabee” – Rabbi Rafi Molot (variation on a song by Safam)
And happy Boxing Day to my Canadian friends, while I’m at it!
Tomorrow and the day after: Housecleaning and fix-ups. Sunday: The origins of the super-team!
