Janice and I started our journey to Ohio after work today. Rather than attempt the whole distance in a single night, which would be just barely doable but not much fun, our plan was to drive four hours, then find a hotel at 9-9:30 and crash there for the night. So we did, and it was a more or less random choice—just some inexpensive digs near where we happened to be at that point in our journey.
As we made our last exit, though, Janice pointed out to me the name of the street our hotel happened to be on.
Rodi Road. Rodi…Road.
I know I’m primed to notice this stuff, but sometimes it really does feel like it’s following me around. There’s a Rhodes Road in Kent, Ohio, not too far from where tomorrow’s event is. Maybe we’ll end up eating at a restaurant there. At this point, I wouldn’t put it past us.
(P.S.: Got the Ubercross Abecedaria U to 70% refilled before I left. Further updates to come when I’m not on vacation!)
