Skipped yesterday’s update for a few reasons, mostly because the idea I promoted, “Adventures in Layout,” didn’t really work. I'm dealing with a number of issues in terms of laying out the next issue of the Journal right now. But I can't talk about those until I'm decided about a few key issues.
Here's something I stumbled over that I couldn't use there, though!
Years before he was known for Nancy, Ernie Bushmiller had a gig illustrating word puzzles. Here are a couple of sets of four I turned up when researching other stuff from 1923. The first set has pairs of fill-in-the-blanks that are anagrams of each other; the second has a set of captions that anagram into radio-related terms. The second one’s more challenging today, but it’s an interesting look at the Golden Age of Radio. I’ll share the answers tomorrow.
I now suddenly want to make a puzzle with the revealer "THREE ROCKS" ...
I love that you write every day, even when busy. Keep it up!
