I'm kicking the DC Comics piece a little down the schedule, because this weekend reminded me of the existence of Boobtree, a game that I've only encountered through the FuMP. It combines elements of Pictionary and Television, and goes like this: Person 1 writes something, Person 2 draws what is written, Person 3 writes down what Person 2 has drawn, but without looking at Person 1 wrote…and so on. Here’s one of the threads that last night's game produced:
There was a boobtree.com that offered an online version of the game at one time, but it’s down as I write this and there’s little else online about the party game. It is similar to the higher-end game Telestrations, which includes starting phrases and dry-erase sketchbooks, but it’s limited to eight players and a bit more formalized. Boobtree is a game you can play anytime with a pen and cut-up slips of paper. Seems like it could catch on!
