A few announcements to make today!
The latest micross is up on the micross page! This one makes use of one of the “new” three-letter answers we discussed last week, and it’s the one I feel most strongly about, in that I think its time has definitely come. (Next week I’ll roll out a micross archive, just to keep too many of those puzzles from sharing a single page.)
The Ubercross Abecedaria’s clues have had an update. I’ve been combing back over them as part of my application process to be a Guinness World Record, and I did find a few glitches—a few clues were duplicates, and more importantly, a small percentage of the stitch clues were either misnumbered or misaligned. I also discovered my clue-answer count was one off—the final count is 116,371, not 116,370. That’s all fixed now. I still know better than to guarantee perfection, but I think this work is ready to be verified.
Which leads me to my next point: I need verifiers! Every Guinness record attempt requires a minimum of two witnesses, unrelated to the person doing the attempting, who are willing to be contacted and testify that the claims are legitimate and any metrics are accurate.
If you are interested in being such a person, you can reach me right here or at tcampbell1000@gmail.com. I’ll send you all the puzzle data (including the long-withheld answer key) and a quick form to fill out. This isn’t an edit job, just a check-over, and I don’t expect you’ll find anything out of place at this point. (But if you do, I’ll fix it!) Thanks in advance!
Have you found your 2 witnesses.
