I’m still figuring a few things out for the year, but as I indicated before, each Wednesday of the year (after this one) will feature a micropuzzle/microcrossword—or, shortened appropriately, a micross. Mini puzzle features tend to have a minimum size of 4 squares by 4 squares and go up to 8, then midi puzzles are about 9 to 12, with anything above that considered a “maxi,” Sunday-size, or “unreasonably large.”
Having spent the last year expanding on that “unreasonably large” dimension, I thought I’d spend a bit of time exploring the space smaller than the midi crossword. That mostly means tic-tac-toe shaped grids like this, but I might do a 2x2 every now and then. Some will be as easy as their size implies, while others might provide at least a…small challenge.
Tomorrow: back to early-morning posts, and a new (pricey) offering!
