There’s a couple of reasons I don’t have too much material for you this morning. One is that I spent last night participating in a giant pun: the local Souper Bowl, in which 21 local businesses competed to make the best soup of the evening. It was a good time for all—my vote went to the business that was including mini-grilled-cheese sandwiches in the soups, and Janice, well, she loves her garlic.
But the results left me as zonked out as any Thanksgiving dinner, stirring my plans to be productive afterward into watery, flavorless gumbo.
The other reason is: if you sent me a Journal of Wordplay article this week, I owe you mild apologies for not getting back to you yet. I’ll be spending the morning taking care of that correspondence and starting to get issue #4 ready for publication. I’ve given every piece the once-over, though, and in general, it’s lookin’ pretty good! Got the cover idea firmly in place, too.
Tomorrow and the day after: A call to action for developers…
