I’m proud of the latest issue of The Journal of Wordplay, glad I started this project (or “resumed,” if you feel we’re more picking up where Word Ways left off). It’s great to have it done and get people to see it. I’m especially happy to interview Mark Okrand—I was reminiscing with an old friend just last night about when I discovered his Klingon dictionary—and Nilanth Yogadasan of Cine2Nerdle.
But Photoshop's insistent update right when I needed it to redesign the cover meant a lot of waiting around and staring at the screen just as I should have been finishing up. At one point my computer froze, and when I started it up again, the half-updated version of Photoshop was less functional than the old one had been, so I had to halt everything and just focus on the updates. All things considered, I probably wasn't great company Wednesday night! Janice often feels she has to thank me for “putting up” with her, but right back at you, honey.
I'm feeling a little buggy today, and I've got some obligations to clients and friends to fulfill, so I'm taking it easy with this update. Tomorrow: secrets of the Ubercross Abecedaria W!
