Yesterday's trip to New York was a fun diversion that I can't talk much about without spoiling puzzles that some people are still doing online. Still, this warm-up party game 🥳 seems worthy of a quick share. It's like bingo but a little more interactive…

We'll just ignore the fact that I needed my own signature (fourth row, second across) to get the bingo. Hey, I'm the one who got the ARE sticker!

This was the first tournament that I experienced as a competitor in quite a while. As a solver, I'm more the type who savors crosswords like a fine wine that the type who trains for speed like Rocky running up the stairs, and tourneys run on speed. So I didn't expect to distinguish myself in the rankings. And I sure didn't! But I turned in everything within the allotted times and error-free, so I'm calling that a win.
