Yesterday, when I decided I’d show you all the best of what I saw this weekend, I forgot one important factor. Today was the ceremony for the Logan Awards, where the FuMP honors the best in the whole field of comedy music. Because of the abundance of great stuff shown there (and the fact that we’ll probably be pretty tired Monday), I decided to extend this series a little.
Here are some nominees for the Logan Award for Best Video. First is Jazz Emu’s “Still Waiting.” None of these are quite safe for work, though this one’s pretty clean, wholesome even. Dedicated to a hypnotic feature of modern technology.
Next is Ninja Sex Party’s “Dragon Slayer (Level Up),” a power ballad for the modern dating scene from a guy who isn’t afraid to exaggerate his accomplishments just a smidge. (Honestly, it looks like he has a shot until he starts talking about marriage…)
And the category winner, Tom Cardy (featuring Montaigne)’s “Red Flags.” It’s another dating-scene video, but this date risks going a little too well… (Warning for a bit of gross-out humor at the expense of a very gross movie.)
