I’ve got a new freelance gig, some interviews for the Journal of Wordplay, and a business venture I’m starting to put before my friends…all good things, but they haven’t left me much blogging time. For tonight’s update, I’ll just refer you to Merriam-Webster’s sampler of words joining its dictionary.
Many of these terms are familiar to me—some, I’ve been using for years!—but others are brand-new, and I always find these “new word lists” to be a fascinating look at what’s changed about our culture and common priorities. Kind of amazing that Instagram managed two new entries in the update…
