Well, to add something new I will point out that there is a listing on the site ghosttowns.com for an Orlena, which was located along the Oklahoma–Texas border only 10 miles east of where I-35 (part of the suggested route between Lenora, KS and Lorena, TX) now runs. It doesn't sound like there is much of anything to see there nowadays but it might be worth a drive-by visit if you're already in the neighborhood.
For anyone attempting this journey, make sure to stop off in Lerona, West Virginia on the way between Elnora and Orlean!
